# Tenhatch

> Tenhatch is one software company for the tools businesses and their AI agents need. It designs, builds, runs and keeps improving every tool: apps for the people who use them, and APIs and MCP servers for the agents that work beside them.

## How agents call a tool

- Web tools serve, on their own domain: /llms.txt (summary), /.well-known/product.json (structured description), /api/v1/openapi.json (OpenAPI 3.1) and an MCP server documented at /docs/agent-access.
- Web tools authenticate with `Authorization: Bearer <api key>`. A person creates the account and key once; calls use the plan allowance and are billed per result after it, at the price in that tool’s llms.txt.
- Send `X-Usage-Source: agent` so usage is attributed to agents. It never changes the price.
- Respect `Retry-After` on HTTP 429.
- Apify tools run from an Apify account through the Apify API or Apify’s MCP server, paid per result.
- The Shopify app and the Chrome extensions are for people only.
